If you use a satnav or routing software to some from the north, or generally if you are coming from Belper this is the preferred route.

Leave Belper on the A517 Ashbourne road, cross the river, take the left turn, up the hill, round the sweeping left hander and DO NOT TURN LEFT to Farnah Green, carry straight on.

Just over a mile further on, ignore Over Lane to your left and carry on. Just under a mile further still you come to some traffic lights and the Railway pub, turn left towards Duffield and in a couple of miles Nether Lane is the first road on your left (opposite the Puss in Boots). Turn left. Knowle Farm is 600 yards up Nether Lane.
