Why? Because the Hindu wedding ceremony is not recognised by the authorities in this country (perhaps as it is all in Sanskrit which compares roughly to Latin in European terms), and Naresh (also known as Nash), as a Hindu, cannot go through a full Christian wedding.
So. A civil ceremony to get the deed actually done. A Hindu ceremony so that the Hindu contingent feel they are married, and a Christian blessing so that the Christian contingent feel that they are married. Hope you like the photos. (She was rather beautiful wasn't she?)
Last year Victoria and Naresh were married, and, as Naresh is a Hindu and Vicki is a Christian, this involves three ceremonies.
